Juried works of art representing the multi-faceted creations of children in kindergarten through grade 12 are featured in Art from the New Britain Public and Parochial Schools from May 15 - 25, 2008. The annual exhibition begins with an opening reception from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15. Entries were chosen for the exhibition from each school, and student artists have worked in an array of media, including pastels, markers, collage, crayon, pencil, watercolor, oil paints, tempera, charcoal, clay, pen and ink and acrylics. The 2008 student art exhibition is underwritten by Webster Bank, longtime sponsor of the event.
