Please join the Museum for a special screening of series of brief interviews with prominent contemporary artists in Ghana. Shown iIn conjunction with the special exhibition Ghana Paints Hollywood, these clips will give Museum visitors a glimpse into guests can explore the lives and careers of these artists as well as as they share their stories, philosophies, and approaches to their craft.


Filmed between 2005 and 2011, the series of interviews were part of The Black Stars of Ghana—Art District reseach project., nNamed for the black star in the center of the Ghanaian flag, as well as being the nickname of Ghana's national football team, it was created by art expert Safia Dickersbach and intended. The goal of the project is to highlight feature art too often disregarded by Eurocentric art professionals. Through these artists' individual perspectives and personal stories, audiences Participants will get a fresh view of contemporary Ghanaian art. without the detraction of stereotypes.
