The Post-it! Participation project for Cycle of Life in Print: Salvador Dalí
Students will learn about the Surrealist technique of ’Cubomania,’ a method in which an image is cut into evenly sized squares or rectangles and then rearranged with no relation to the original image. Inspired by this technique (which is demonstrated in our current exhibition Cycle of Life in Print: Salvador Dalí) students will create collages and draw what they see by focusing on angles, detail, and tone in each individual square or rectangle.
Pre-registration is required for each monthly session and class size is limited. New sessions begin on the first Wednesday of each month. We do offer scholarships for New Britain students, so please feel free to ask if you qualify. For any questions or concerns, please contact Celina Marquis, Studio Art Educator: firstname.lastname@example.org or (860) 229-0257, ext. 227.
