This docent-led tour will explore the "Golden Age" of bold and uncensored African movie posters featured in special exhibition Ghana Paints Hollywood. When Ghana's mobile cinema phenomenon flourished during the 1980s and 90s, local artists used recycled materials to create hand-painted posters to promote the Hollywood movies. Learn about the true inspiration for these so-called "Crowd Pullers" and how they fit into the larger picture of late 20th century art.
