NEW BRITAIN MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART

Youth Drawing 101

Intro to Printmaking

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

One of our many educational programs at the NBMAA

AGES 11–13

Printmaking is closely related to drawing and painting, yet is unique because it allows artists to create multiple original pieces of art sometimes very quickly. Pulling inspiration from NEW/NOW artist Katja Loher, students will experiment with various forms of printmaking all while exploring a social issue. Students will use graphic design techniques to draw out an original design and from there, learn how to create a series of ink prints.

Preregistration is required for each monthly session and class size is limited. New sessions begin on the first Wednesday of each month. We do offer scholarships for New Britain students, so please feel free to ask if you qualify. For any questions or concerns, please contact Celina Marquis, Studio Art Educator at (860) 229-0257, ext. 227 or at marquisc@nbmaa.org.
