Museum and Me

Playdates with Art

Friday, February 9, 2018

One of our many educational programs at the NBMAA

Ages (0-24 mos.)

In this program, parents and caregivers learn how to share art with their babies by recognizing and responding to signs of visual stimulation. Led by Museum educators and docents, Museum & Me features guided gallery explorations and a sensory play session. Parents and caregivers will participate at every stage, so come ready to enjoy a special museum visit with your little one. Your Museum admission is good all day, and includes a “coffee break” during our play session. Strollers are welcome, and the spacious Stanley Works Center will be available for the duration of the class for anyone needing a break with their child. Front carriers are suggested for babies. For questions, please contact Kate Swanson, Coordinator of Family & Community Programs, at (860) 229-0257, ext. 220, or

“I meant to tell you how much we enjoyed the class. The docents were wonderfully attentive and informative, and the tactile experiences were terrific for my 6 month old. I was so happy the museum welcomed us.” – Mother of a Museum & Me participant

Drop-in participation is welcome
