In conjunction with the Museum's exhibition NEW/NOW: Francisca Benítez, Youth Drawing 101 will explore communication with Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. Throughout the month of March, students will represent a word in American Sign Language in the style of Optical and Pop Art with pens and markers. By creating contrasting geometric and organic designs in bright, bold colors, kids will learn that communication with the Deaf or Hard of Hearing is best when highly visible, clear, and direct.
