scene from Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound

A 1945 psychological thriller, Spellbound is a black and white film by legendary director Alfred Hitchcock. When a mental hospital in Vermont gets a new director (played by Gregory Peck), it’s not before long that his colleagues become suspicious of his peculiar behavior. A doctor of the hospital (played by Ingrid Bergman) uses her psychoanalytic training to unlock his mind, spiraling viewers into a dream sequence designed by renowned surrealist Salvador Dalí.
