NEW BRITAIN MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART

Surreal Sculpture with Jim Brunelle

Thursday, April 28, 2016

A student participating in one of our many educational programs.

Ages (8-10)

Inspired by the works of Salvador Dalí and our permanent collection, students will fuse the fantastical world of the surreal with everyday functionality! They will begin in the galleries by gathering inspiration and producing preliminary sketches. Then, working from the sketches, students will hit the studios to create utilitarian sculptural objects with a unique and surreal twist!

Pre-registration is required for each monthly session; enrollment is limited and varies per session. New sessions begin on the first Thursday of each month. We offer scholarships for New Britain students, so please feel free to ask if you qualify. To register or for any questions or concerns, please contact Celina Marquis, Studio Arts Educator, at (860) 229-0257 ext. 227, or marquisc@nbmaa.org.
