Pianist Victor Cayrez de Mendoza
In addition to our regular standing Sunday Music Series, please join us for special performances in conjunction with the Fryderyk Chopin Society of Connecticut.
Brazillian pianist Victor Cayrez has earned praise for several concerts and for having performed with orchestras both in the U.S. and abroad. He has been featured on radio stations and has collaborated with a myriad of conductors. Cayrez is currently on the faculty at Boston University School of Music, specializing in piano.
The Fryderyk Chopin Society of Connecticut is a classical music appreciation group that sponsors several classical music concerts throughout the year, showcasing the works of Fryderyk Chopin and other renowned composers. Founded by Polish pianist Slawomir Dobrzanski as a program of the Polish American Foundation of Connecticut, the Chopin Society has been presenting piano recitals by internationally-acclaimed pianists from around the globe and promoting young artists since 1998. This ongoing music program partnership between the Fryderyk Chopin Society of Connecticut and the NBMAA strengthens the cultural offerings that are accessible to the community and brings world-class piano performances to New Britain.
