Art Start for Preschoolers
Saturdays 11-11:45 a.m. (Sept.-June)
Tuesdays 1-1:45 p.m. (July and Aug.) 
Drop-in students are welcome.
Members $3 per class - non-members $5 per class; No charge for chaperones, who must remain with the class.

This program helps caregivers and young children discover art together in the Museum galleries. Listen to stories about art and then explore line, shape and color with Museum educators.

NOTE: For the months of July and August, Art Start will only take place on Tuesdays from 1-1:45 p.m. with teaching artist Margaret Freedman. Saturday classes will resume at their regular time in September.

Art Start is led by Margaret Freedman - Ms. Freedman has a Masters degree in Elementary Education and presently works at the Wadsworth Atheneum and here at the New Britain Museum of American Art. She combines literacy with various artistic media and develops programs to enhance the child’s experience here at the Museum.
