Family Day: Grandparents Day!
Sunday, Sept. 7
noon–4 p.m.
Free with Museum admission

Join us in celebrating Grandparents’ Day with fine art, delicious food, and outdoor fun! Stained glass artist Sarah Segovia will lead a 3-hour studio workshop for all ages from 1–4 p.m. Join her and learn how to make a stained glass suncatcher inspired by the brilliant artworks of Glass Today. Museum educators will provide face painting and other art activities all day, and Chet’s Italian Ices will be here to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. Meet comic strip artist Matt Ryan, and take home your very own “doodled” copy of one of his popular books for young readers. Children, grandparents, and everyone in between are invited to send the summer off in style with this very special art party! (Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly recommended for the studio workshop; please contact Katy Matsuzaki at (860) 229-0257, ext. 220 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to reserve your spot today.)
