From kids to grandparents, Family Days are special events for everyone to enjoy together. Family Days include programs featuring special exhibitions, readings and book signings with authors and artists, musical performances and art activities to encourage creativity for all ages! So bring the whole crew for a day of fun at the NBMAA. Hope you can join us!

Special Family Workshop: Shadow Boxes with Sarah Segovia

$15 Members; $20 non-Members

It's the perfect time of year for a family art afternoon! Join mosaic and stained glass artist Sarah Segovia to create miniature shadow boxes encrusted in a glittering mosaic of your own design. Sarah will guide all ages through the mosaic process, from planning a design to filling it in with a myriad of colorful stained glass pieces. In three short hours, everyone will go home with a unique shadow box to fill with a small photograph or other treasure. Family Day: Celebrate the Presidents! with Arts for Learning Connecticut

This Presidents' Day, the talented artists of Arts for Learning Connecticut return to the Museum for a fun-filled day of activities and performances for the whole family. Try out digital painting with Raheem Nelson, weaving with Christine Wilkinson, smartphone photography with Craig Norton, and exhibit-inspired art activities with Virginia Lynn Anderson. Even Abe Lincoln will be in attendance, impersonated by master storyteller Lou del Bianco! Bring your camera for an afternoon making art and some wonderful family memories.
