Q. Is the NBMAA a charitable organization? A. The NBMAA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Q. What portion of my membership is tax deductible? A.
Q. What is the difference between membership and gifts to the annual operating fund? A. Membership is a benefit-based program that encourages individuals to become active in the life of the NBMAA. Memberships at the Artist’s Circle and above are only partially tax-deductible. Gifts to the Annual Operating Fund, are straight out philanthropic supporting-based gifts, 100% tax deductible. Both programs however support the NBMAA’s bottom line and many individuals participate in both. Q. Can I upgrade my membership mid-year to take advantage of additional benefits? A. Yes! Q. How do I give a gift of securities? A. Donors should have their brokers transfer donations of securities to:

Q. Does my gift qualify for Corporate Matching Gifts? A. Many corporations have matching gift programs for their employees, retirees and board members that will double and in some cases triple the portion of your gift that is tax deductible. This extra support is very much appreciated. Here is what to do:
Q. When should I expect to receive my membership cards? A. Your cards will arrive within three weeks from the day we receive your information. If you would like to visit the museum, and you have not received your card yet, simply present your photo ID at the membership desk.
Q. Is First Friday free to members/Can Guest passes be used for First Friday? A. Members admission to First Friday is $5. Guest passes can be used for general admission to the museum and for programs identified as free with admission, but not for First Fridays. (Non-member fee is $10 per person for admission.) |
