Join artist Kathleen Smits for a two-day Acrylic Landscape Painting Workshop.

Paint the landscape! Advanced beginners and intermediates welcome. Explore color and value to create depth while learning brush techniques for textures. Learn to analyze compositions and create exciting paintings that draw the viewer in. Individual attention provided in a workshop atmosphere to improve your style and techniques.

Bring your own source of inspiration – good quality photographs of your choice. 

Materials needed:

• Brushes: A few sizes each: pointed round sable/synthetic, flat or angled shader, filbert, flat and round brushes. 
• Paints – burnt sienna, burnt umber, yellow ochre or yellow oxide, cerulean or manganese blue, French ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, cadmium red, cadmium yellow, Hookers or sap green, titanium white. 
• Acrylics: need a water spray bottle and slow dry medium or retarder.
• Palette: Can be anything – a paper plate, piece of hard plastic, palette paper or a palette in a container that keeps paint wet.
