ABOUT THE EVENT

Investigating Environment

This January, Homeschool Students will take a closer look at how artists respond to their environment and how art can play a role in environmental preservation. Students will connect with the works in the special exhibition Neil Jenney: American Realist and as well as Hudson River School works in the Museum’s permanent collection.

Under the guidance of Museum educators, participants will learn about the idealization of landscape artwork and how artists create art for different causes, before creating their own idealized landscape using mixed media.
