ABOUT THE EVENT

Gallery Talk | Behind the Scenes in For America

Get a behind the scenes look at For America: Paintings from the National Academy of Design with the NBMAA’s Collections team. From the artworks traveling, to receiving them, to the hanging and lighting of the paintings in the gallery, this Gallery Talk will cover all that goes into hosting an important exhibition of this scale.

View the model of the gallery design; see sample paint colors, and shipping crates and gain a greater appreciation for the exhibition design and installation process. Attendees will meet in the Richard and Virginia McKernan Gallery prior to the talk. Gallery stools will be available.
