ABOUT THE EVENT
Virtual Presentation | Women, Art and Activism at the NBMAA and Norman Rockwell Museum
2020 marked the 100-year anniversary of women’s suffrage and the passage of the 19th amendment granting some women the right to vote. Please join the NBMAA and Norman Rockwell Museum on January 15 for a dynamic virtual discussion on “Women, Art, and Activism” to explore how art has played a prominent role in influencing women’s rights throughout history. The talk will explore art of the last century and focus on current NBMAA exhibition Some Day is Now: Women, Art & Social Change and Norman Rockwell Museum’s recent exhibition Rose O’Neill: Artist & Suffragette and current Unity Project.
