ABOUT THE EVENT

Youth Drawing 101: Elements of Art

 —

In this back-to-school Youth Drawing 101 session, students aged 11–13 will study the still-life masterpieces in our permanent collection. Then, in the American Savings Foundation Art & Education Center studios, they will use graphite, charcoal, and pastels to create still lifes with a focus on line, value, form, and texture.

This class is great for beginners and those looking to hone their skills. This class will give participants the opportunity to feel more confident in their own independent drawing process.

Preregistration is required, and students must be registered prior to the first class. Scholarships are available for New Britain residents. Contact Hannah Kruger at [email protected] for more information.
