Art Studio space will nearly triple from 915 sq. ft. to 2,600 sq. ft. to give three separate studio spaces as compared to the one-room space in the lower level of Landers House.
Designed by Ann Beha Architects, the addition will provide additional galleries to be used for the display of the permanent collection, new exhibitions, tours and programming; to triple art studio space for educational offerings; to update the ArtLab for our youngest Museum-goers. Your support of this project will ensure the Museum's ability to offer a full spectrum of programming for visitors of all ages.

Seven new galleries and two smaller exhibit spaces will allow us to display more of the permanent collection.
The popular ArtLab will increase by 40% with new interactives installed for our youngest audience members.
With the Museum's Permanent Collection now numbering over 14,000, we will optimize the available space for the collection to better store these treasurers and make room for future acquisitions.
With the capacity to display more of the permanent collection, resulting in greater variety and deeper representation of periods of art; the introduction of new collections and themes; an enhanced chronological display and the positioning of key works for greater aesthetic and interpretive advantage.
The NBMAA's new Shaker Gallery will be one of only three permanent Shaker displays in art museums in the country alongside the Met and Philadelphia museums. The first exhibiton will focus on the Enfield, CT Shaker Colony.
Purchase of contiguous property and construction of 80 additional parking spaces will provide more of this coveted amenity.
