VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

If you enjoy our events and like spending time at the Museum, consider becoming more involved by becoming a volunteer. Volunteers experience the benefit of personal growth while meeting new and stimulating people. Join our ranks of over 400 current volunteers and help us with a large variety of day-to-day functions and special events.

Make a difference at the New Britain Museum of American Art! If you have any questions, contact Colleen Mitchell at [email protected] or at (860) 229-0257, ext. 222.

BECOME AN EDUCATION STUDIO VOLUNTEER

Do you love art? Do you love being around art-making?

If you are a friendly, creative individual who enjoys discussing art and the art-making process, studio volunteering would be a great fit for you!

The NBMAA proudly sees up to 10,000 students a year through school tours. School tours are frequently accompanied by a hands-on art activity in the NBMAA's art studios, led by a Museum Educator. Studio volunteers assist the Museum Educator with preparation for studio activities, including material preparation and cleaning, and organizing the studio, as well as assisting with pre-k through high school groups and facilitating conversation with students.

Reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

Complete your Volunteer Application and check the option for “Education: Studio Assistant.”
