Adult Studio Workshop | The Fundamentals of Plein-air Painting with Mike Berlinski

For beginners to advanced artists.

This workshop will go over the basics of painting outdoors. Including composition, values, and color theory. It will cover the importance of proper observation, lighting, and learning to identify key elements in a landscape. Color mixing, application, and personal expression will also be discussed. There will be plenty of one on one help for each student. Taught by an accomplished professional plein-air painter.

Please Note: Easels can be borrowed if needed, but the number of easels is limited and therefore will be first-come, first-served.

About Mike Berlinski:

Mike began drawing and painting at the age of seven. He is basically self-taught and works primarily in oil paints. Mike is a serious and devoted painter and has been working to develop and express his talent for over twenty years. During this time, he has exhibited in many art galleries and art exhibitions. In all of Connecticut and surrounding states, Mike finds places to paint, explore, and express his passion for the natural world. Favorite places include the Farmington Valley, Cape Ann, and Cape Cod.
