ABOUT THE EVENT

Youth Drawing 101: Outdoor Sculptures

 —

Kick off the summer with art in the great outdoors at the NBMAA! Artists aged 11–13 will start outside the Museum where they will explore and take inspiration from our sculpture garden and then, in the American Savings Foundation Art & Education Center, will create their own sculpture.

Student’s artistic process will begin with sketching what they have seen for inspiration and planning. Then, under the guidance of Studio Educator Lindsay Behrens, they will use quick-dry clay to realize their own works.

Preregistration is required, and students must be registered prior to the first class.

Scholarships available for New Britain residents, contact Hannah Kruger, [email protected].
