Support FAQ

Q. Is the NBMAA a charitable organization?

A. The NBMAA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization; its Federal Employer ID is 06-1422234.

Q. Is my gift, sponsorship, or membership tax-deductible?

A. Basic members are fully tax-deductible; the tax deductibility at the Circle and Premier Membership levels varies by level. The tax-deductible portion of sponsorships will vary depending on benefits. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Q. What is the difference between membership and gifts to the Annual Fund?

A. Membership is a benefit-based program that encourages individuals to become active in the life of the NBMAA. Memberships provide goods and/or services in exchange for money.
Gifts to the Annual Fund are outright contributions, which support the Museum’s daily operations. They are not in exchange for goods and/or services and therefore are fully tax-deductible.

Q. Where can I visit with my NBMAA membership card?

A. All members receive unlimited free general admission to NBMAA and 10 other museums in New England.

The NBMAA is a member of the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Program. Members at Circle Level and above will receive free admission to over 1,000 art museums and galleries, historical museums and societies, botanical gardens, children’s museums, zoos, and more. Just show your NBMAA membership card with the gold NARM sticker to receive this benefit. For more information and a complete list of participating museums, please visit the NARM website.
